House Republicans Refuse to See That Taking Partisan Interests Out of Redistricting Might One Day -- Very Soon -- Benefit Them.
When it comes to redistricting reform, Republicans in the House of Delegates are behaving as if Virginia were still a solidly red state.
They are acting as if the state didn't send Democrats to the governor's mansion and the U.S. Senate twice in the past several elections.
Republicans are behaving as if they still control the state Senate and have an unassailable majority in the House of Delegates. More simply, by acting again to kill legislation to institute bipartisan redistricting reform, Republicans are acting irrationally.
