Unemployment Drops with addition of 216,000 Jobs in March

Wasn't the stimulus package suppose to stop the unemployment rate from going over 8% ?

Here's what actually transpired.  Read and learn something.

Republicans need to shut down the Federal government, give away state revenues, and lay off as many teachers and civil servants as they can to destroy this recovery!

Destroy this recovery ? LOL After spending a trillion dollars of borrowed money we are still at 8.8 thats a full point higher than the unemployment rate ever was when George W. Bush was in office. When Obama took office the national average gas price was $1.65 a gallon now it's $3.67. We are still in Iraq and Afghanistan the wars Obama said we couldn't afford but Obama has put the USA in yet another war.Gitmo is still open. The health care bill didn't have a public option.Im sure you a really proud of your HOPE and CHANGE man.Yeah Fulk im sure only you hacks could spin this into a positive.

This anonymous doesn't tell the truth at all, does he?

Just because George Bush was starting two wars on borrowed money instead of minding Wall Street doesn't mean that the Great Recession was his fault! I'm sure he didn't mean to order the torture of prisoners of war, so Obama will just have to keep that evidence under wraps down in Gitmo unless America wants to join the ranks of Imperial Japan and the North Koreans.

We all need to pay more for health insurance so that insurance companies can profit on illness. Remember, we Republicans represent corporate interests, not public interests! And no one should have to buy health insurance! Hospitals have plenty of money to treat the uninsured. If I need it, I'll just purchase my health insurance on my way to the hospital!

James Obama PROMISED he would close Gitmo. He had a year two years with the Democrats in total control President,Senate, and Congress he didn't get it done. You sure can't argue the facts can you son.

James said...

Yeah,I'm glad the Republicans refused to support funding and moving prisoners from Gitmo to US prisons and courtrooms. The last thing we need is for those guys to go to a public trial and the truth be told.

James what part of Obama had two years with the Democrats in total control to close Gitmo do you not understand ?

James said...

In December Republicans put a provision in the government funding bill that blocked the closing of Gitmo. They did the same thing on a Defense authorization bill in May 2010. Democrats will have to vote to de-fund the government if they want to close Guantanamo.

NoBama!

James in December the Republicans were not in control of Congress the Democrats were. The Democrats and Obama had total control for two years and didn't close it.Face the facts Obama broke a campaign promise.

James said...

Republicans don't have to be in charge to screw things up. They just insist on a "Don't Close Gitmo" amendment to a bill the Democrats want to pass, like keeping social security checks coming, or making sure that soldiers get paid.

So what you are saying James is the Democrats are just not good leaders they are better followers.

James said...

No, it is very important that Republican politicians make sure that government does not work and things stay broken. We don't want people thinking that they have a chance of organizing, or regulating our businesses. That would play right in the hands of Democrats. I don't know why you are concerned about followers, blind followers are the Republican base. In Rockingham County they'll vote for a deadman if we tell them to.

JC said...

Republican Party strategists know full well that if people start thinking the economy is improving and things start looking better that they will lose. That's why they started hammering at Obama right after he won the election, and they haven't let up since.
It remains to be seen whether Democrats will step up or stay home.

James said...

Democrats would rather whine, scold, second-guess, and nitpick their candidates. Republicans don't have this problem, they fall in line and get the job done, even if that means voting for a candidate who died weeks before the election!

Yep, if the GOP wants to take the whitehouse they've got to make sure to wreck the economy. Not hard for them though, it seems to come naturally.

James @9:56

True words!
Our voters seem to have a greater sense of duty and loyalty than Dems. Our voters are like our politicians, they don't question, they just do. That's why our campaigns do so much dishonest negative and attack messaging; because Some Dems are easy to discourage and keep from voting. Some Dems are easy to upset to the point that they refuse to vote out of protest. Either way, we win! And there's nothing Dems can do about it because our people don't believe negatives about our candidates, and really don't care anyway. They just hate liberals.

Well, I've got to get back to Richmond and make sure that this redistricting thing doesn't get too democratic! I'll leave you with the immortal words of 43, The Decider:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

Well said George!
