Governor's Right
The Times-Dispatch's Jim Nolan and Tyler Whitley report that Gov. Tim Kaine has issued more "simple" pardons than any of his nine immediate predecessors. Kaine's 55 such pardons put him one pardon ahead of Linwood Holton and John Dalton and three ahead of Mills Godwin (who granted 52 simple pardons during his second term). A Democrat thus leads three Republicans.
