Who Would Jesus Vote For?

So we were having a conversation today with a minister and Bible scholar. Here's the short version:

Number of times Jesus condemns homosexuality: 0
Number of times Jesus condemns divorce: 4
Number of times Jesus condemns adultery: 9
Number of New Testament verses condemning the rich: 20+
Number of New Testament verses condemning gay marriage: 0

These Christians follow His teachings. Blessings to Pastor Steve Stone of Heartsong Church! He walks the path.

I guess this is the reason why there is a move afloat among the evangelicals to re-write the bible and remove all "liberal" references and implications. I'm not sure how you can do that and still paint JC as loving, kind ,tolerant and peaceful. Gotta love the self-serving people and groups in this country.

Isaiah 5:20 (Today's New International Version)
"Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter."

ESPECIALLY so-called Christians who should know better.

I don't think Jesus condemned murderers either. Does that mean murder is okay? Only under some moronic immoral "logic."

You are a poor student of the teachings of Jesus. Read again the Gospel of Matthew:

And someone came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?” And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.” Then he said to Him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER; YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY; YOU SHALL NOT STEAL; YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS; HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER; and YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.” The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept; what am I still lacking?” Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property.
