Here in the 6th District of Virginia, there is no Democratic nominee challenging Rep. Bob Goodlatte. The alternatives on the ballot, a Rand Paul style Libertarian and a tea drinking independent, don't cut it with most Democrats. Certainly, area Democrats will be going to the polls to vote on amendments to the Virginia Constitution and, in localities such as Harrisonburg, on city council and school board elections. But, what to do about voting in the 6th District race?
Well, there is a movement encouraging Democrats to vote for the Chair of the 6th District Democratic Committee, Linda Wyatt, for House of Representatives. While nobody expects her to get a large number of votes, those she receives (along with other write-in votes) are a way to express dissatisfaction with the choices presented on the ballot.

Things sure have CHANGED since 2008.Just remember YES WE DID and now you can't even get a Democrat elected for dog catcher.After 2009 and 2010 i expect you will see some Virginia Democrats tell Obama to shove it just like Frank Caprio a Democrat from Rhode Island did.

So the General Assembly wants to compel local governments to exempt veterans from local property taxes? We don't need big brother telling us what to do with our local tax base. Vote No!

Bob Goodlatte rubber stamped the Iraq Invasion, Bush's tax give aways to the wealthy, the banks, and corporations that sent our jobs overseas. He needs to go. Go Jeff Vanke!

Nothing is going to happen around here in 2010, the same loons will vote for the same do-nothing politician (Bob Goodlatte) because he isn't a Democrat. More farmers will go to work at the Walmart distribution center sorting crap from China. However the corporations that fund Bob Goodlatte and the Republican party will laugh the whole way to their off-shore banks.
