John McCain has a reputation for treating his staff very disrespectfully. Military members who have served as liaisons to members of the armed services committee have been treated very rudely by the senator. In addition, Sen. McCain's opposition to the new G .I. bill and to funding for other veterans' benefits have alienated many of our military. So this is no surprise.
