The incredible debate continues and the right grows more shrill every day...
Limbaugh, Beck, Bortz and Hannity are shrieking like banshees as their denials sound increasingly hollow in the face of both scientific research, and considered opinion on global warming by the world's best minds which are increasingly becoming accepted by mainstream USA.
The bluster boys find it particularly galling that of all people, the man whom Americans actually elected as President in 2000 is now being considered for both the Nobel Peace Prize AND an Oscar... Too Cool... You Go Al!

Think about this, after the current crop of announced candidates spend loads of money and get trashed in the press over the next year....
Gore-Warner 2008!
Now that Ladies and Gentlemen, would upset a bunch of apple carts, including the republicans...

Just heard a report yesterday that Timberline, the outdoor shoe company, has set a goal of being a net zero contributor to carbon emissions by 2010. They are even placing stickers on all shoe boxes telling people the environmental impact of each pair of shoes. Seems Timberline thinks they can make money on fixing global warming, why wouldn't the right wing windbags want too.

Do you know whether they plan to reduce their emmissions to that degree, or offset what they produce by some carbon reduction method to provide balance?

Gore's movie is very powerful. Enough so that school systems have been warned not to show it in class... And Wal-Mart is said to have taken it off the shelves...
Pretty telling.
We need to find out what the position of our local schools are. Anyone know?

Well, I guess that pretty much sums up the BlusterBoys' argument.

The radio editorialists that you mention are all speaking from the same set of pseudo-facts in a coordinated effort to create doubt in the mind of the public.
In fact, they begin to run together in people's minds. Did Boortz say that? Or was it Limbaugh? Or maybe Beck? Or Hannity?
Limbaugh went on a rant recently about how Hawaii just recorded on of it coldest days ever and used that as "proof" that global warming is a myth. One of the others goes on and on about the snow in New York and another about the cold in the North West.

Then they all go on and on about how the people who usually have severe cold to deal with are enjoying the unusually moderate temperatures and are saving money on heating costs so therefore global warming is a good thing.

It doesn't have to make sense folks, just create doubt. It is up to us to keep the truth out there point by point.

Thank you RCDC for starting this page, I hope more and more people come here and comment.

I don't have to watch a movie to know that you are wrong and a communist. Rush tells me what I need to know.

Record high heat, record snow fall in the same year...
As our atmospheric damage increases so also will the extremes in temperatures.

Forget about it folks. We don't need clean drinking water. We need the money that comes from industry and profit.
Screw clean air, there's no profit in it!
