Dear Katie:
You posted this message on a very liberal blog. The people that see your message loathe the military. Also, the function is church sponsored. This is another thing the Liberals loathe. Mix the two and you are inviting a protest.

As a Vietnam era Vet, I appreciate what you are doing. I will spread the word on some Conservative blogs where they will reach Americans who love America.

Many thanks!

No troll, the RCDC has been quite supportive of our Military and our religious community.
Do you plan to start lying about that now?
What will you lie about next?
Oh yes, and you're far too young to have been in Viet Nam. Stop soiling those who have served by claiming to be a vet.

My response to Old Coot is:

I stand by my post.

You really stand for a lot anon troll.
A lot of lies.
You're not military at all which is easy to see.

My comments are clear, concise and true. I can tell by your posts you are one of the Military haters I spoke about. Are you also an atheist? Or worse, anti-religion?

Sure thing Craig.

My point stands proven.

Spinning a fantasy Craig?

Looks like a nice event Dorothy, thank you for organizing this!
We'll plan to attend and then go to Harrisonburg for the parade.

What type of items do you most need for the packages?

Lena said...

Hey Lowell,

Could you post the list of items that you used the last time you all did this? I didn't keep a copy and it was very helpful.

Thanks!

Lowell i am a Republican and all along i thought all you did was party hackery. This is a great thing you are doing i hope it is a beautiful day so alot of people will attend. Nice going Fulk.

I'm not sure what is wrong with the blogger web program tonight, but I did write a post here a while ago. It's lost and I'm sorry because I thought I represented myself o.k.

To summarize: This is Dorothy and Katie, not me. These fine young folk put forward these ideas, not me. All I am doing is finding some small way to support and promote the good deeds and works that our youth see as important.

In this whole exchange, I am the least of these, they are the doers.

You are right anon, this is great. But it is Dorothy and Katie who are great... Our future is bright because of them...

Lena,

Thanks for asking!

Please, as you shop, keep in mind that individually packaged servings work best for things like cup-a-soup, mac-n-cheese etc…

Also,

Small personal sized toiletry items can be more readily packed and stored as they carry on their misson.

Stores like Sharp Shopper, Costco, the Dollar Stores etc… are good places to find things mentioned on the list.

How do you know what to buy?

Think about the little things that you enjoy, and perhaps take for granted, and let’s be a blessing as best we can to these wonderful young people!

Keep in mind that they also need to raise money for postage and shipping to get our care packages delivered.

Your help with this effort can make an enormous difference!

Remember, many hands make light work.

One more very important part of this operation…

Please include a card or message with your donated items letting our young soldiers know that you care and that you appreciate the sacrifices they are making on our behalf. They need to know that no matter what,

We love and support them…

Thank you ever so much for your help!
