GOP out of people to execute, induces carnage on I-81

It's shaping up to be a slow year on the gallows, so Bob McDonnell and the Valley's GOP delegation are satisfying their blood lust by wreaking havoc on I-81. Let's recap their transportation platform:

1. Don't expand I-81 or implement serious rail improvements.
2. Raise the speed limit.
3. Block funding for improvement of secondary roads.
4. Don't enforce laws against texting while driving.
5. Prevent new laws prohibiting cell phone use while driving.
Italic
Their idea is to force you to drive through a narrow, congested highway among cars and big rigs driven by people texting their friends while moving at unreasonable speeds.

omg. just killed fam of 4...ttyl

My only hope is that the people killed on I-81 are those receiving some form of government assistance. After all, they're just a bunch of stray animals anyway. It's sort of like killing a dog crossing the street. Sure you feel bad, but does it really matter?

You idiots had 8 years in the Governor's mansion, and start criticizing the Repub Gov less than two weeks after he starts the job. What a bunch of idiots.

Sorry, but it only took a Republican Governor two weeks to propose idiotic policies like increasing the speed limit on I-81 and preventing a ban on cell phone use while driving. And frankly, Republicans are in no position to criticize anyone for using a negative tone.

I seem to remember the blame Obama crowd cranking up the day after election in 2008 with the stated goal of "driving down his numbers."

Governor McDonnell vowed to address transportation with his "plan" beginning right away, and now that he's in office, he puts it off.

I'd say John Doe, when calling someone an idiot, you might be looking in a mirror.

And what a coward, pushing his Gubernatorial responsibilities off on the General Assembly to decide what should be cut to balance the budget. He's trying to duck the inevitable blame for cutting programs.

You republicans had 8 years in the white house and started criticizing the democratic president two months before he even started the job. Shoe, meet other foot. But on another note, the snow is beautiful and no one is missing school because of it.

Anonymous, the DIFFERENCE is that we waited to blame Obama until he and Dems actually took steps, such as cram the porkulus plan down our throats, and to appoint crooks and tax cheats to his cabinet, little things like that.

You people wonder why only 20% identify themselves as liberals/progressives, it's because you act like scum. You REALLY think you are going to convince anybody else to oppose Repubs because McDonnell hasn't solved the road problems of I-81??? BWAAHAAAHAA! You are dumber than I thought. But keep it up...

Rush started calling it the Obama recession the day after he won. He also said it must be their goal to push his numbers down or there would be a Dem majority for years to come.
So did Steel.
