Todd Gilbert has petitioned VDOT for designation of the Shenandoah County portion of I-81 as a "Highway Safety Corridor". If approved, look for heavy police speed enforcement and special $500 speeding tickets on his 30 mile section of 81. In Todd Gilbert's world, every problem requires more police enforcement.

Hey Todd, it's about the trucks - they weigh 40 tons, my car weighs 2 tons. When we meet, someone dies. How about working on intermodal freight rail.
Maybe Kaine could give some good ideas since he just found 3 million to buy laptops with.
Maybe the police should do their job and actually pull over some of these truckers. I actually got pulled over in one of these so called "safety corridors", I was in the right hand lane doing 74 and being passed by truckers when I got pulled over.
