Obama Rally in the Valley!!!

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama will join us for a Rally in the Valley, Tuesday at James Madison University. It will be Obama’s ninth trip to the commonwealth since the end of the primary campaign.

Think about this: Barack Obama cares enough about the Shenandoah Valley that he is coming here in the last days of the campaign… John McCain? Where is he? Where has he been? Mark Warner has been here to do everything from announce major initiatives to speak at high school graduations. Same with Tim Kaine. Ask yourself, who really cares about the Shenandoah Valley? Actions speak louder than words…

This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, though, an RSVP is strongly encouraged. To RSVP, please click here

Doors Open: 3:15 PM

Program Begins: 5:15 PM

***For security reasons do not bring bags or umbrellas and please limit personal items. No signs or banners allowed.***

Special note: I learned this at Leesburg, leave your pocket knife in the car! I had to give up my Case that a good friend gave me a long time ago. But I did so without hesitation.

We are living history here!

Thank you, see you Tuesday!

What time do you think we should try to be there to get in?

Obviously the earlier you get there the better chance to be up front in the line. I'd say between 1:00 and 2:00pm would be safe. Many will show up between 3:00 and 4:30pm. The Leesburg crowd just kept growing until they stopped letting people into the town.

Volunteering is everyone's solid guarantee to get in.

Drop by the Harrisonburg Obama office at 124 S. Main Street across from Dave's Taverna to sign up!

I wish I could volunteer but I can't make the training session. I'm hoping 1:00 is early enough!
