of Dishonesty, Manufactured Outrage, and Deflection...

The Grand Overlord and Leader
of the GOP

Excellent my young students of the way of the Sith,
Make people bitter,
Lead them to anger over nothing,

Avoid responsibility for your inaction and obstinacy...

Use the Power of the Dark Side:

Manufacture Outrage!!!

"What other wasteful spending lies just beneath the surface?"
Senator Mark Obenshain, 26th District

"...I'm sure that's only the tip of the iceberg."
Delegate Matt Lohr, 26th District

Year after year, with the notable exception of Senator Emmett Hanger and retired Senator Kevin Miller, Representatives of the Shenandoah Valley in the Virginia General Assembly have steadfastly refused to consider any stable and dependable and DEDICATED revenue source for Virginia's Transportation Infrastructure.

Now, the looming crisis in Transportation Funding about which many of us have been warning for most of this decade has come to pass...

And, rather than admit that they have not represented the best interests of the Shenandoah Valley, they attack: Youtube videos of all things...

This goes beyond irresponsible and lackluster performance on their part to secure necessary transportation funding for projects like road improvement around our wonderful new state of the art Hospital, to a dishonest and reprehensible effort to deflect attention away from their poor representation and lack of foresight while at the same time cynically maneuvering to turn a budget tragedy for Virginia into political gain for themselves...

I'm looking forward to this debate with our esteemed Valley legislators. I warmly welcome all of our Representatives in the Virginia General Assembly to engage their constituents in this discussion, and find a way to justify their position before the public not with the usual empty rhetoric, but with facts, figures, and data...

Aren't these the very same guys who made fun of Kaine about transportation and said he was trying to "create his legacy" by making transportation funding seem like a crisis?
Well guess who is looking like a bunch of kids who got caught telling fibbs now?

I remember Delegate Lohr writing a long justification for the abusive driver fees in the DNR. Genius.

Let's see, the last youtube I produced, um let's see...

Nothing! It's free dummy! An article in the local paper quotes that the person even made the ones that have Obenlohr so torqued on his own time at home!!!

Do your job Senator.

“In Richmond, I have fought to keep transportation spending fair and efficient for the Shenandoah Valley. Like other parts of Virginia, our area has sustained major growth and our roads are being stretched beyond capacity. I will continue to work to ensure that our transportation needs in the Valley receive adequate funding from Richmond.” Sen. Mark Obenshain

Nice words Senator...what are you going to do about it (other than put an end to You Tube videos)?

Dennis Coffman, director of RMH facilities planning development has announced that RMH will pay for turning, acceleration and deceleration lanes and new traffic lights on Port Road and Reservoir Street.

And then when Senator Obenshain, and Delegate Lohr figure out how to "ensure adequate funding for transportation needs" VDOT will tear up Port Road and Reservoir Rd and start over again - the definition of "wasteful". In the meantime, I expect that RMH will build the cost of road building into my medical bills.
