Satire: A biting venue of expression. These folks are masters... Bridges? Roads? Schools? Pollution? Toxic Water and Air? Sending our kids to be maimed and killed in a senseless war? One simple answer addresses it all...

Oh the irony, this is very funny, but only because it is so true.
These guys are good, who are they?

Fulk didn't the Democrats vote to go into War also ? If im not mistaken we just had the most deadly month to date in Afghanistan where Obama just sent 20,000 more troops i guess that will be blamed on GWB to.

Actually Anon,
In the Senate, 21 Democrats, one Republican and one Independent voted against attacking Iraq.
In the House of Representatives, 6 Republicans and 1 Independent joined 126 Democrats to vote against.

But you are correct, some Dems did. I know everyone was under tremendous pressure to "be Patriotic" or otherwise be judged as favoring the terrorists. Look at what happened to Max Cleland. This applies perhaps more to Republican leaders, because the attack against them would have been horrible indeed if they had stepped out of line. Perhaps the six Republicans in the House exhibited the most courage of all…

Not finishing the job in Afghanistan before invading Iraq, and then allowing the effort to languish until the Taliban regrouped and regained their footing? If that wasn't Bush, then who?

Afghanistan was the training area for Al Queda, a major supplier of the world's raw opium, and they were being pushed hard by the religious fundamentalist Taliban back into the Stone Age. And they weren’t all that advanced to begin with.

I supported Bush's decision to invade Afghanistan. And when I went to JMU to hear Susan Rice, an advisor on foreign policy to then candidate Obama, (in February 2008) I was impressed by the fact that he (Obama) intended, if elected, to draw down troops in Iraq, and place emphasis back on Afghanistan.

Please know Tom (I think it’s Tom) that there is much more to write and discuss, I am however like so many nowadays, pulled in many directions and I don’t want to lightly discuss with you issues which deserve deeper thought. I’d really rather wait and have better back and forth than simply write something for the sake of having something out there.

Yet at the same time, if we don't engage now, the discussion will be lost in the noise of the moment.

I greatly appreciate your patience.

Fulk we have come a long way with respecting each other i like that alot.I however disagree with you on Afghanistan i fear we will never win a ground war there Russia tried that and lost. I know everyone will say we are not Russia and thats my exact point the Russians went into village after village and killed everyone there and they couldn't win even with that type of Brutal warfare. I felt we needed to go into Iraq but its sure been a mess every since we did.Fulk as far as Iraq goes i thought we should have pulled out 3 years ago.If we had we would have saved alot of Americans lives and millions of dollars.

Hey Anon,
Did you ever serve? Or you just another cowardly chicken hawk like 90% of all republicans? Usually the louder they scream about war, the less likely that they ever served, or served in a time of war. Classic cowardice which is the foundation of the GOP (that and being closet adulterers and gays).

Obama says he wants to use American troops to end the war in Darfur. Is this different than Bush wanting to end Saddam's massacre in Iraq? WMD excluded, isn't this the same thing?
