Picking up the Pieces, Obama's Challenge Overseas...

At the beginning of this new century, and a new millenium,
the United States Government
found itself dominated by a NeoCon Faction
of the GOP.
Republican President
Republican Senate
Republican House of Representatives
Republican Majority-Supreme Court
All Three Branches of American Government
This is one result:

Global Public Opinion in the Bush Years (2001-2008)

America's Image; Muslims and Westerners; Global Economy; Rise of China

The U.S. image abroad is suffering almost everywhere. Particularly in the most economically developed countries, people blame America for the financial crisis.

Opposition to key elements of American foreign policy is widespread in Western Europe, and positive views of the U.S. have declined steeply among many of America's longtime European allies.

In Muslim nations, the wars in Afghanistan and particularly Iraq have driven negative ratings nearly off the charts.

The United States earns positive ratings in several Asian and Latin American nations, but usually by declining margins.

And while the most recent Pew Global Attitudes survey finds that favorable views of America edged up in 2008, only in sub-Saharan Africa does America score uniformly favorable marks.

Read the results of a decade of GOP domination...

Fulk that looks like Obama's latest polls.

Now I see why the right wingers keep trying to muddy any discussion. If people are allowed to take stock of just how much the GOP effed up on so many levels and all over the world, they might just get strung up to the nearest tree...

Throughout American history, the United States has been blamed for almost everything that goes wrong in the world, and lately that includes nuclear proliferation in Iran, which according to its leaders wants to destroy Israel, and in North Korea, where Kim Jong Il wants power. At the Yasukuni Shrine in Japan, the documentary states that Roosevelt "forced" Japan to "start" the Greater East Asia War. I can name thousands of times when the U.S. is blamed after sending financial and human assistance. Obama's former pastor blamed the 9/11 WTC attack on the United States for being "terrorists." And then Obama said of his pastor, "I don't think my church is particularly controversial." The world economy, global warming . . . the list goes on. And much damage was done during Democratic control in Congress, while Americans seem to believe that Bush could have stopped them. Democrats love to blame others, and even America as a whole. Obama does have a big job to do. He is trying to convince the world we are not bad when he thinks we are. Taking the side of a debate you don't believe in is always hard.

Other countries don't come to our aid, even when we need it. They just blame us, as usual. We should stop financial assistance overseas, and fix our own problems. Of course, America would be blamed for that.

Maybe instead of spending time over seas Obama should be working on the economy maybe he could fix the stimulus package screw up.

Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson blamed American for the attacks too, must be a preacher thing.

Fulk i quess talking about the global public opinion of the USA is a good way to avoid talking the slumping opinion the people of the USA have of Obama.

Anon,
You know that several prominent Psychologists have linked conservative anger and vitriol to sexual suppression right?

This is a well established fact and has led to the outings and transgressions of so many GOP "faithful."

I predict that as you get comfortable with your own sexuality, and closer to your "outing," that you will have an awakening and you'll be "born again," You'll feel much better in your own skin once you acknowledge it.

I pray that you reach that day soon and meet the man of your dreams, for your sake.

I can see why socialists (most of Europeans and Asians) and communists would prefer Obama's administration to GW's. I can see why Africa would prefer Obamster's Administration. I can see why Muslims would prefer him. Since I'm not a socialist, communist, black nor Muslim, I'm satisfied in maintaining my position that he is a worthless pos.

Fulk November 3rd will not get here soon enough for me. What kind of spin will you have if Deeds,Wagner and Shannon all get beat? Maybe you can thank BHO for a great job.

Lowell Fulk said...

Oh anon, November will get here soon enough. When you grow up and become mature, you will understand that you never want to hurry a day along.

And growing up also helps you understand that you will cross a particular bridge when you come to it...

And to your third point: I'm fortunate, I get to be thankful for the outstanding job the President of the United States of America is doing right now and don't have to wait at all.

I know that you get all tingly just at the thought of him being our President.

Lowell Fulk said...

But I can understand your overwhelming desire for things to be decided now anon.

Because you know that things are about to begin looking up, and when that takes place, you're done...

So of course you're in a hurry.

You want pain and suffering and the loss of jobs of Americans so your party can gain political power.

If people's lives get better, it harms your ambitions, so you want people to suffer so that you will gain.

Not hard to figure at all.

Fulk you are insane. BHO doing a good job ? You party hacks are the only ones that thinks he is doing a good job.

Anonymous said...

Fulk you want to come up with every possible excuse for BHO when in fact you know he has not kept his word and people even Democrats are starting to worry his failures will destroy your party.
