The forum will be
Friday, October 3rd
at 6:00 PM
in the Board of Supervisors meeting room
in the Rockingham County Administration Center
located at 20 East Gay Street in Harrisonburg.

Confirmed participants include:

Janice Allen (I), and Sam Rasoul (D)
who are running for United States House of Representatives,

and

Roger Baker (I), Richard Baugh (D), Tracy Evans (R), and David Wiens (D),
who are running for Harrisonburg City Council.

The forum is open to the public and, following questions from a moderator, there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions of the candidates. Refreshments will be provided.

According to Anne Marie Mauldin, president of the Domestic Violence Task Force, “Domestic violence exists in every community. The difference is how each community responds to it. As October is Domestic Violence awareness month, please show our communitys strong response in seeking answers to this complex issue by attending the political forum on domestic violence.”

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Domestic Violence Task Force is a diverse group of professionals and concerned citizens from the Harrisonburg and Rockingham communities who work to address the problem of domestic violence.

Everyone is welcome to attend the regularly scheduled meetings, which are on the last the Wednesday of every month at 1:30 in the 2nd floor conference room of the Public Safety Building at 101 N. Main Street in Harrisonburg.

Thanks for keeping the local races before people. It is all too easy to forget the very important local offices in a national election year.
