Failure of Leadership, Betrayal of Trust

Thursday's annual Census Bureau report on income, poverty and access to health care-the Bureau's principal report card on the well-being of average Americans-closes the books on the economic record of George W. Bush.

It's not a record many Republicans are likely to point to with pride. On every major measurement, the Census Bureau report shows that the country lost ground during Bush's two terms. While Bush was in office, the median household income declined, poverty increased, childhood poverty increased even more, and the number of Americans without health insurance spiked.

By contrast, the country's condition improved on each of those measures during Bill Clinton's two terms, often substantially.

Interesting how Bob McDonnell has been touting how good the Bush economy has been for America and how he wants to do the same thing to, er... for Virginia.

Where were all of the Million Moron Marchers when Bush started up a $2 trillion war in Iraq, funded it off budget, and started handing out tax cuts.

This is why America just shakes its collective head at these fools. They didn't get it then, they don't get it now.

Bubby you pathetic party hack where were the Democrats they voted for the war also you party hacks seem to forget this. You will get it this Nov. when the Va voters send Republicans to the top 3 offices in Va.

Republican Bush started the Iraq war with a Republican House of Representatives, a Republican Senate and lies:
1)Iraq had WMD.
2)Iraq was behind the 9/11 attacks.
3)America would be greeted as liberators.

$2 trillion later we still have the quagmire in Iraq.

Anon is lying about voting to go to war. Who's surprised?

House Vote tally to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq.

In the Senate, all Republicans but one voted yes and the Democrats went 29 yes and 21 no.

Toni D thanks for proving my point more Democrats voted for the Iraq war than did against it. Bubby and ToniD if the Iraq war is so bad why hasn't Obama brought the troops home ? When GWB left office did the cost of the war in Iraq just stop ? Or is it still costing us ? ToniD are you just upset because Deeds doesn't like people like you enough to give you the same rights everyone else has ?

Interesting how the cowardly conservatives are staying away from this issue completely or trying to change the subject.
